I have finally managed to do a compilation of some photos that I gathered, concerning the process of building the special room for the sick dogs in need of warmth.
I can't say enough times how much I appreciate your support. By sticking together, we reached our goal.
The "Hope" Foundation is sheltering, protecting and loving almost 600 homeless dogs, even the ones that are blind or cripple or with other life-threatening illnesses. It's a no kill shelter. They believe, as I do, that all dogs deserve a second chance, and, most importantly, a home of their own. My volunteering has allowed me to interact with the people and the dogs at another level and I can honestly say that I'm extremely fond of them. The friendships that are witnessed there are amazing. The acceptance and the openness of these dogs that have experienced trauma is impressive and admirable. They yearn for affection, for just a touch and a glance. They need us. May all the Foundations that are involved in animal welfare be as dedicated and selfless as this one.
I have chosen a few photographs that will allow you to understand, at large, the process of building that room. The green envelope contained the precious donated money and there's also a humble banner made by me, with the sincere, but mandatory: "Thank you!". If you want to ask me more questions, feel free to do it.
If you want more photos with some of the beautiful dogs they care for, feel free to say.
