When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

I like how the water fades into the sky and how you use the light at the shore of the island to draw attention to the middle of the page and the tree. The heart dangling off a branch with the light partially shining through it is another interesting aspect that I particularly like. The clock looks even more secret and hidden among the clouds, but not so much that people cant see it, and I like how the hand appears to come out from underneath the water. My only (novice) suggestion is not to have birds flying off the piece. Usually, that makes people move on to something elsesomething I learned in my two years on yearbook is that people will follow the motion of an object. In the case of these birds, they lead off the image. It works in this one, though, because the light catches your eye before the birds do. Well done!
I wanted that light to draw attention upon the island, upon a place full of love, a special part of the world, hidden from the rest. The tree was meant to be a symbol of life with everlasting days and with a love that grows each day. That hand represents the inner desire to reach time and stop it somehow. I put it near the clock, but far enough in order for it to not be able to touch it and interfere with its flow. I wanted the birds present in the picture, so they can point out the idea that it doesn't matter how separated you and the one you love want to be from the world, you will always be compelled to interact with a little part of it.
I do like the sky and water effects. And the dark blue adds mood to the pic.
